Nickel Carbonate

Nickel(II) carbonate describes one or a mixture of inorganic compounds containing nickel and carbonate. From the industrial perspective, the most important nickel carbonate is basic nickel carbonate with the formula Ni4CO3(OH)6(H2O)4. Simpler carbonates, ones more likely encountered in the laboratory, are NiCO3 and its hexahydrate.

Nickel Fluoride

Nickel(II) fluoride is the chemical compound with the formula NiF2. Unlike many fluorides, NiF2 is stable in air. NiF2 comprises the passivating surface that forms on nickel alloys, e.g. monel, which is why such materials are good to store or transport hydrogen fluoride or elemental fluorine. Nickel is one of the few materials that can be used to store fluorine because it forms this coating. It is also used as a catalyst for the synthesis of chlorine pentafluoride.

Nickel Metal Foil

In our wide range of products, we are also offering our clients a supreme grade variety of Nickel Metal Foil. Offered nickel foil is used for manufacturing nickel-hydrogen battery. Our offered nickel foil is rolled to precision thicknesses down to .00039" in Inconel & Monel. The provided nickel foil is tested by our quality experts at our labs so as to ensure its perfect range.

Features:
  • Eutectic compositions
  • Used for soldering
  • Best in quality

Nickel Nitrate

Nickel nitrate is the inorganic compound Ni(NO3)2 or any hydrate thereof. The anhydrous form is not commonly encountered, thus "nickel nitrate" usually refers to nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate. The formula for this species is written in two ways. Ni(NO3)2.6H2O and, more descriptively [Ni(H2O)6](NO3)2. The latter formula indicates that the nickel(II) center is surrounded by six water molecules in this hydrated salt. In the hexahydrate, the nitrate anions are not bonded to nickel.

Nickel Oxide Black

Nickel(III) oxide (Ni2O3) has been referred to in the literature, but is not a well characterised compound. The substance black nickel oxide is sometimes described as being Ni2O3; however, the composition quoted by suppliers has a nickel content of around 77% by weight, whereas Ni2O3 would have 70.98% Ni by weight, and may be non-stoichiometric NiO.

Nickel Oxide Green

Nickel(II) oxide is the chemical compound with the formula NiO. It is notable as being the only well characterized oxide of nickel (although nickel(III) oxide, Ni2O3 and NiO2 have been claimed). The mineralogical form of NiO, bunsenite, is very rare. It is classified as a basic metal oxide. Several million kilograms are produced in varying quality annually, mainly as an intermediate in the production of nickel alloys.

Nickel Sulphate

Nickel(II) sulphate, or just nickel sulphate, usually refers to the inorganic compound with the formula NiSO4(H2O)6. This highly soluble blue-coloured salt is a common source of the Ni2+ ion for electroplating. Approximately 40,000 tonnes were produced in 2005. It is mainly used for electroplating of nickel.
